Todd Pearsall

Founder/Owner

a 20-year career in residential and commercial projects, Todd opened Filament Lighting in 1998. Filament quickly became known for pushing the trends of contemporary lighting and bringing artistry to each project. Todd credits his entrepreneurial spirit to his parents, who were farmers with several side businesses, and who “taught me to dive into things without fear.” He enjoys passing along these lessons to his daughter, Ruby, and when not in the shop Todd can be found driving Ruby to her activities, or hitting the slopes on a family ski vacation.

Sarah Tarter

Customer Service Support

Sarah has been with the Filament team for a decade. She is an organizational wizard who keeps all of our customer orders moving along without a hitch. Sarah is the person you will talk to if you need a status update or other info about your order. She enjoys golfing, and while she and her husband appreciate the empty-nest life, they also have fun traveling to visit their kids in Arizona and Chicago.

My favorite part of the job (besides working in this gorgeous showroom) is the relationships with customers. I like seeing them when they come in, or catching up on the phone. Many of our clients have long-standing relationships with Filament, which makes this a special place to work.

Phillip Daugherty

Logistics Manager

Phillip comes from Memphis, Tennessee, and has now seen seven Minnesota winters. He is the wizard who keeps Filament inventory, warehouse and shipping services running smoothly. He lives next door to the store and has timed his walking commute to work at 2.5 minutes—useful during busy times! He has 10 years’ experience in distribution work and is another Filament staff member with a passion for learning languages (currently Japanese).
