Filament Lighting Favorites: Summer Edition

As each season changes, so do our favorite lighting fixtures and home decor accessories. We keep a page updated with the Filament Lighting staff favorite fixtures just so our customers can know what is trending in the lighting world. Some of our current favorites include oversized clocks, beautiful mirrors and, of course, a couple of lighting fixtures that we cannot live without right now. Here are five of our favorite pieces for summer of 2016:

This wall clock is finished with antiqued silver leaf, which gives it a rustic sheen that would work well in both a contemporary or farm-style home. The clock is 32 inches in diameter, so it is more of a statement piece than a timepiece.

Finished with charcoal and polished nickel accents, this Framburg pendant is one of our current favorite modern light fixtures. Its design is simple, which lends itself to a beautiful classic look. It houses four bulbs and, though you can’t tell here, it is a good source of lighting.

We think this mirror is absolutely stunning! Like the clock above, it is sizeable and therefore is more than just a functional home accessory. Though its style is specific, with its matte brass wiring, this mirror is versatile enough to be used in any room of the home.

This sleek and modern ceiling fan by Monte Carlo is inspired by a mid-century aesthetic but keeps a very contemporary look. Both the lighting and the fan motor are energy-efficient, so this is a great option for someone looking for practicality over aesthetics. This fan is for dry climates. If you aren’t sure the difference between wet and dry climates, check out last month’s post about indoor and outdoor ceiling fans.

We can hardly do a favorite pieces post without including a chandelier – Filament Lighting’s bread and butter! This 12 light chandelier by Hudson Valley is the statement piece your home needs. It is two feet tall and over two feet wide, and is a beautiful mid-century modern accessory.  The glass is mouth blown and the bulbs look like candlesticks when lit. What we love about this piece is that it was inspired by a honey hive, and when the bulbs are illuminated it really looks like one!
